7500 Teaser Trailer Lands

Terror in the sky for Ryan Kwanten
If you’ve ever watched William Shatner panic through the Twilight Zone episode Nightmare At 20,000 Feet, or even just been stuck on a long flight beside someone with chronic flatulence, you know air travel can be pretty terrifying. But what if your plane was actually haunted by a scary supernatural force? That’s the problem encountered by the passengers on one flight in 7500. Check out the teaser below.
With The Grudge’s Takashi Shimizu behind the camera, there was always going to be trouble because he’s a man who never found a situation he didn’t want to cram a ghostly presence into. And the idea of dealing with something so dangerous in such a confined space clearly has some scope to ratchet up the tension. Although, if the Transport Security Agency across the pond is so good, why didn’t it stop the spine-chilling evil at LAX and demand to see its passport? “Ah, a Mr D’Eath. Enjoy your flight!”
The likes of Ryan Kwanten, Jamie Chung, Leslie Bibb and Jerry Ferrara are the nervy travellers and flight crew dealing with the serious security oversight.
7500 will touch down in the States on August 31, but there’s no word yet on when it’ll clear customs over here.

Adam Sandler Off To Candy Land

Kevin Lima still directing
The deal between toy giants Hasbro and film studio Universal is starting to look like a sinking ship as more and more projects are taken away. Yesterday, we brought word of Relativity Media scooping up Stretch Armstrong (and leaving proposed star Taylor Lautner bobbing in its development wake) and today there’s news that Hasbro is taking Candy Land to Sony, where Adam Sander’s Happy Madison production company is waiting with open arms.
While there’s been no official announcement, it would seem the plan is for Sandler to star in the new film, which Enchanted‘s
Timberlake Finds Trouble With The Curve

He’s in talks for the Clint Eastwood pic
Justin Timberlake is sticking with his plan to jump between comedy and drama (even as his music career cries into its pillow because he hasn’t talked to it for months), scoring a starring role alongside Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams in Trouble With The Curve.
The film sees Eastwood as a veteran baseball scout whose health, and particularly his vision, is beginning to fail him. He departs on one last scouting trip to look for a potential new star of the sport and decides that the journey might make for a good chance to reconnect with his daughter.
Timberlake will play a former pitcher-turned-scout, who is competing against Eastwood’s character for the new signing. But he also falls for Adams. There’s a healthy idea: annoy Clint Eastwood!
Robert Lorenz, Eastwood’s regular producing partner, is in the director’s chair for the movie, scripted by Randy Brown. We’ve no idea what this new piece of casting might mean for Matthew Lillard, who was also up for a role as a fellow scout.
